A lawsuit worth 11 million euros

Renault racer Daniel Ricciardo received nothing but pleasant mail. Because his former adviser is suing him for unpaid commissions of 11 million euros.

The likable Australian has started a new chapter this year. After many years of working with the team Red Bull, where he managed to win seven wins and was twice third overall in the world (2014 and 2016), Ricciardo decided to switch to Renault.

These days, however, the Australian has received nothing but pleasant mail. According to the British website motorsport.com, former consultant Glenn Beavis has sued him for unpaid brokerage fees of € 11 million. The lawsuit was filed in the High Civil Court of Great Britain. Plaintiff Beavis is of the opinion that he is entitled to 20 percent of Riccaird's base salary commission at Renault, in addition to money from various other contractual obligations. Ricciardo explained in his position: “There is no basis for Beavis' claims. It is unfortunate that he is suing for completely undeserved demands. I will defend myself against this lawsuit by all means. "

The lawsuit was filed by Sivana Sports International FZE, owned by Beavis, and is against Ricciard's Whitedunes, which the Australian founded in 2013 to protect advertising and marketing rights around its name. Until March this year, the Australian did not have any manager or agency, he did a lot of this work himself, but since 2012 together with Beavis as a consultant. Since this spring, he has been under the auspices of the management company CAA Sports, which also takes care of Nic Rosberg and Cristiano Ronaldo, among others.
