FIA: Standardized tire pressure monitoring by 2021

With the new system, they will be at FIA further monitor the teams so as not to violate the rules on the minimum tire pressure set by Pirelli as (for some time now) the only tire manufacturer in F1.

The new system comes as part of new rules and applications 18-inch tirescoming in season 2021. The FIA will select the contractor with a call ending on August 30, the selected contractor will be known October 4, and the first prototype of the measuring device will be at Pirelli get their hands on it 15. November, so they can already use the technology on December testing.

The main reason for introducing the standard system is mainly the FIA's access to information on tire pressure and temperature, which makes it necessary standard, and the measurements will be an additional control to the current system by which FIA engineers monitor wear and identify individual tires.

With the new control system, the FIA will have the option of additional control of tire pressure.
