Antonio Giovinazzi: Also 2020 in the Alfa Romeo team?

Italian by Antonio Giovinazzi at the same time we find it somewhere towards the end of the racing table. A combination inexperience in resin was the reason they were the only racers Williams listed behind him. Ferrari's young racer has so far won only one point (tenth place in Austria), while his teammate has won them Kimi Raikkonen has already collected 31 and is currently in eighth place. Of course, rumors spread that this would quickly spread Ferrari patience will soon pass and the young man will have to say goodbye Formula 1.

The young Giovinazzi has not proven himself so far, but he could still race for the Alfa Romeo team in the 2020 season.

His boss Frederic Vasseur defends the 25-year-old racer: "Antonio does a very good job in qualifying. A race at the level of Kimi. I don’t worry about Giovinazzi and I don’t think he’s under pressure here on the team. We need to stay calm and show more patience." But Vasseur he knows full well that he is a team Alfa Romeo in the team championship in fifth place only thanks Kimi Raikkonen.

All indications are that Giovinazzi and veteran Kimi Raikkonen will continue to be teammates at Alfa Romeo next year.

Good luck for Giovinazzi so the situation is on racing market and also within Ferrari Academy. Only Mick Schumacher would be from Ferrari academies to some extent ripe for Formulas 1, but the young German will also be in season 2020 raced in Formulas 2. And Ferrari determines who sits in the team’s race car Alfa Romeo.

Young Mick Schumacher would be the only one to replace Giovinazzi, but the German will continue to race in Formula 2020 in 2

Giovinazzi so he says: “Nothing has been decided yet. However, if I do a good job, then I will also be sitting in an Alfa Romeo race car in the 2020 season. Understandably, I’m not happy with my current balance, so I need to improve in the races. But I didn’t race for almost two years and it was hard to find a rhythm. In 2017, I did two Formula 1 races, and in 2018 I only raced at Le Mans. And then you go back to Formula 1 and compete with the best. It’s important that my base speed fits and that I progress, then there will also be better performances in the races."
