It was basically an extension cooperation in the field of engines between Mercedes and team Williams to the year 2025 already big enough proof that the silver arrows will be in Formulas 1 remained even after the end of the current agreement Concord, which expires at the end of the year 2020. However, there are exit clauses in the contracts.

Interpretation to be able to forgive Esteban Ocon, who would be racing for the team for the next two or three years Renault, valued as an indication that they could Mercedes Benz end of the year 2020 said goodbye to Formula 1 (because after 2020, the young Frenchman would obviously no longer be needed), it is Toto wolff categorically denied. The Austrian hinted that the decision was about the future of the engagement Mercedesa largely already adopted.

The extension of the contract with the Williams team in the field of engines is a big enough proof that by 2025 - until then the Williams team is expected to be supplied with engines - silver arrows will remain in Formula 1.

"All the signs are standing in the green area and that means we will continue in this sport. We love what we do here and also engaging in Formula 1 also makes sense for the brand.
