Because of the new tires: Ban on heaters only in 2023 instead of 2021?

But as it turns out, over this plan ombudsmen some teams are not exactly enthusiastic and so is the Italian manufacturer Pirelli supposed to look critically at the intent of the umbrella organization FIA. Colleagues from car engine and sport however, they are now reporting that all indications are that they could ban on tire heaters postponed for two years and introduced only years 2023.

The new 18-inch tires, which will be introduced in the 2021 season, are expected to be the main argument of some teams to lift the ban on tire heaters in Formula 1.

Kot main argument for this shift are listed new 18 inch tires, which will also be introduced in 2021 and which for teams and also Pirelli they represent the unknown. A ban on heaters would add further to this equation new factor and that is riskwhich not everyone wants to accept. It will be necessary to wait when and if this ban will be introduced now.
