Dave Robson, chief engineer at Williams, said: “In Sochi, we had a problem with the bike holder system on the Russell race car. As a result, the right front wheel did not engage properly and caused the brake to lock in before each turn. This system has been tested and proven to be very good. We will now check all the parts and do not expect this problem to recur. At Robert, however, we then decided to take the car out of the race because we are close to spare parts after the accidents in Singapore and Sochi. We work at full steam in the factory to supply them for future races."
