Testing: Pirelli ready for the 2020 season

In a special two-day test, which was carried out at the request of Pirelli, three racers, Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), Alex AlbonRed Bull) and Esteban Ocon (Mercedes), gathered together at a racetrack near Barcelona more than 400 rounds. The Italian tire supplier was satisfied with the data collected: “Behind us are two working days in Barcelona in which we tested tires for 2020, for both Formula 1 and Formula 2. For Formula 1, the aim was to test the latest specification 13-inch tires for 2020, which were developed in collaboration with teams. We drove a lot of laps with the three leading teams, which allowed us to gather the data we wanted. This means that we are now in a position where we can set tires for 2020, ” says Pirelli's boss Mario isola.
