Sebastian Vettel: How could this have happened?

Za Sebastian Vettl, who started the race from second place, that was for sure a day to forget. Immediately after the start, the rivals overtook him as if he were still there a common beginner, for his medium compound tires they just didn’t want to warm up to operating temperature, so he was easy prey for his opponents. Even before the end of the first round, he found himself in sixth place, when he then overtook him again Daniel Ricciardo.

Hag told the team via radio: “My car seems to be damaged, but I haven’t touched anyone. Verstappen drove into the Valtteri race car in the first corner, but I managed to avoid that crowd.“In a hurry combination of turns number eight and nine but suddenly his broke rear right suspension, so he had to Hag park your race car by the track and for him the race was over.

"I’m going to see this in peace again in the clip, because at the time I’m wondering how this could have happened at all. The feeling in the car was very strange from the very beginning, the tires did not warm up, so I had to let the competitors go ahead. I tried to find a normal rhythm, but the race car was still weird, especially in right corners. My Ferrari, which I knew from free practice, was no longer here. I had to get used to it at first, but then the suspension broke and that was it. I think the injury existed before."

In the eighth lap, however, a spectacular resignation followed, as his SF90's rear right suspension broke, forcing him to park the car along the track.

Hag continues: “What is very unusual is the fact that before that there was no reason for there to be a fear of such an injury. I didn’t drive any differently in the race than in training. Even in this combination of corners, I didn't drive differently than the previous days,”Added the racer Ferrari, which has not yet given up its third joint place. “It's still third place for me, but if you resign so early in the race, then of course it makes you very angry.”But Vettel may have become victim of a hilly trail in Austin? "We can’t claim that, as I knew where all those humps were and as I said, I didn’t drive other than in free workouts."
