Antonio Fuoco: I enjoy the Ferrari simulator and racing in the Gran Tourismo series

Antonio Fuoco, of Calabrian descent, would be one of the main protagonists of this year’s series Italian Championship Gran Tourismo 2019, paired with Sean Hudspeth however, he has already secured the title of champion in class Pro-Am. Fuoco is also active in the championship Endurance Series, and its most important role, however, is, notwithstanding the less attractive nature of the work, certainly engaging in a Ferrari simulator.

When colleagues from Motorsport.com asked about the differences between racing in Gran Turismo series and working for Ferrari, Fuoco replied: “Of course the differences are big. At Gran Tourism, you always share time behind the wheel with a colleague, so it is always necessary to look for a suitable compromise between the driving style of one and the other. Gran Tourism also needs to be extremely focused throughout the race, which lasts significantly longer than F1, so that the quota of racing errors there is significantly higher. "

Many in Italy otherwise regret that Calabrian he was given no more opportunity to prove himself also in a Formula 1 car, but the young racer does not bother with this: “I am happy to be able to contribute to the results of the Scuderia, and at the same time I enjoy racing in the Gran Tourismo series. I can’t wait to start testing with the new Ferrari 488 GT3. I haven't seen it live yet, but based on photos and articles about it, I believe that it is an exceptional race car. "
