An interesting detail about the new model is that the Maybach emblem appears for the first time this time on a car that is not officially a member of the S-Class. Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC represents the top of the SUV offer from Stuttgart, and is powered by a specially developed four-liter forced-injection V8, which is capable of maximum power 558 hp and 730 Nm of maximum torque. The engine works with 48V EQ Boost system, which adds 16 kW (22 hp) of extra power and 250 Nm of extra torque.

Another interesting detail is that it has a version Maybach same wheelbase as normal GLS; namely 3,14 meters, despite 2,78 tons the live weight of the GLS 600 accelerates from a standstill to 100 km / h in everything 4,9 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 km / h. For those of you who are also interested in fuel consumption in such cars - officially it is 11,7 liter and arrange for emissions in the amount of 266 g / km.

As for the exterior Maybach differs from other GLSs mainly by self-contained refrigerator masks, chrome trim around the windows and B-pillars and on 22-inch alloy wheels, and even more so the two-tone combination (there are eight combinations) of the body and Maybach logo on D-pillars.

Inside we find only two types of seats, which therefore of course offer maximum comfort to passengers, especially in the second row, where individual seats are installed, as we know them from class S. The passenger cabin is otherwise surrounded hood leather and a panoramic roof with the possibility of automatic dimming, and in the second row of seats for the entertainment of passengers also provides MBUX table. The list of optional equipment is as long as Monday, and it also includes champagne refrigerator, a fragrance system (especially for GLS-developed fragrances) and active suspension with function E-Active Body Control.
Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC will arrive in showrooms in the second half of 2020 and will cost around € 180.000.
