Shutdown for engine manufacturers: What is completely new is that there is now a 21-day break also for the motor departments, which have now been treated separately and have not fallen into the mandatory break. From now on, the same applies to them as for chassis: The manufacturer must notify the FIA of the start of the closure, and then must not touch the engine and their development for 21 days.
Reduction of engine components: There is also a new rule that automatically reduces the limit of powertrain components with a shortened race calendar.
