The refurbished got something for VW specific updates, including a light strip connecting the headlights and a bit more chrome. Also new are the rear lights and the exhaust system, which is now surrounded by a larger one diffuser.
The biggest novelty is, of course Arteon Shooting Brake, which is supposed to combine sportiness and practicality, as its luggage space can be "swallowed" by the folded rear seat row for 1.632 liters luggage, which is 75 liters more than in a coupe sedan.
It's different Shooting Brake the coma is somewhat different from the coupe Arteon. The large radiator grille occupies almost the entire front and visually combines with the LED daytime running lights, which are also the same as in the coupe sedan. We also see wide wheel arches and, similarly to the limousine, quite a bit high trunk edge, which somewhat kills the elegance of the rear.
Inside, the Arteon got a new steering wheel, a new one infotainment system MIB3, which also combines Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and passengers have access to as many as thirty ambient light settings and the brand's audio system harman / kardon.
Under the bonnet, the biggest novelty is the plug-in hybrid, which is expected to produce a total of 160 kW (218 hp) of maximum power. The top of the range will be the Arteon R with 235 kW (320 hp), which will be distinguished from the less potent units by four-wheel drive and system R-Performance Torque Vectoring. Basically, all petrol and diesel engines will be connected to an eight-speed automatic.
