Statements of the fastest three at the Spanish GP

The Spanish Grand Prix brought another, already 88th victory in the career of Lewis Hamilton, who in the overall standings escaped even more from both pursuers, Max Verstappn and Valtteri Bottas.

1st place - Lewis HAMILTON (Mercedes)

Today I drove as obsessed as if I was in some other dimension. In the last lap I almost didn’t notice that the race was over. The team prepared an exceptional race car and the strategy was also ideal for today's events on the track. Thank you to everyone in the factory and best regards to all of you who follow us on TV screens in these difficult times. Stay on the safe side, wear masks and I hope we get back to normal as soon as possible.

2nd place - Max VERSTAPPEN (Red Bull)

I couldn’t do more today. We got the maximum out of everything that was possible today, so I am satisfied with the second place achieved. What more than to sneak in between the two Mercedes simply couldn’t be achieved. Lewis was easily gaining the lead, and I myself had no chance of seriously opposing him. The decisive start was when I managed to get past Bottas, then I kept my pace. I had some problems with the tires, but in the end it all went smoothly.

3rd place - Valtteri BOTTAS (Mercedes)

The key moment of the race today was the start, which completely crashed me. After that, it was all together as a mission impossible. We are all well aware of the fact that it is extremely difficult to overtake on this track. I don’t know exactly what happened to me, but I saw that Lewis had a great start and that the guys behind me took advantage of the breeze.
