TOTO WOLFF believes THREE THINGS are a necessary evil: More RACE, more MONEY

Although there have been many complaints about the triples - three consecutive races - which will also be present this season, Toto Wolff, the head of the Mercedes team, also sees a good side in them.

He admits they will be so called triplets races are exhausting, but they are said to be from financial aspect - following the example of more races, more money - too necessary evil.

That's right, addressed on this topic, Austrian also told colleagues from Motorsport-Total.com. According to Wolff it's easy enough: More races means more revenue, and they are in dire need of this at the moment all teams. "I think teams are entitled to increasing sales and thus higher income. Teams still get a big chunk of their budget from shared pot revenue, and we all need to support growth in this regard."

The head of the Mercedes team is aware that trio races are exhausting for team members as well as racers, but from a financial point of view they are a necessary evil.

Nevertheless, so be it Wolff is aware that these trio races will be from teams and racers demanded a lot. Mostly two planned threesome they will be very tough this season after the summer break. For then we will have in as many as six races in seven weeks. The Austrian admits that this, as he explains, will be very exhausting. “I think a triple in Asia means we’ll be away for more than three weeks, which is definitely not great. Let’s not forget that the hardest work is done by those who set up and dismantle team garages."

Wolff, who is understandably also a good businessman, also quickly thinks about logistics solutions for the battle of depletion of employees that will be present this season. Austrian speculates: “You have to ask yourself how long this is sustainable and whether you can introduce a different system with another crew that could take on these most difficult tasks."
