Young Gianluca PETECOF is the new driver of the CAMPOS team in Formula 2

Eighteen-year-old Brazilian Gianluca Petecof will make his Formula 2 debut as a Campos Racing driver this year.

Pete started his career in Formula One in 2018, driving the Italian and German Formula 4 Championships. After finishing fourth and tenth in both races in his first season, he was second and fifth overall in 2019. Member Ferrari Academy has been around since the beginning of his career, but a few days ago he announced that he was leaving their program.

He won his first title in the series last year Formula Regional European Championship, where his main rival was Arthur Leclerc, Charles ’brother and also a member of the Ferrari Academy who will race in Formula 3.

In the new Formula 2 season, Petecof and experienced Swiss Ralph Boschung will compete for Campos Racing.

Pete is currently the third youngest Formula 2 driver for 2021, and will be accompanied by an experienced Swiss Ralph Boschung.
