Max VERSTAPPEN was left without the FIRST MECHANIC just before the start of the season

Team driver Red Bull he will have to find himself without his current first mechanic Lee Stevenson this season, moving to a second position within the team.

Lee Stevenson is a man we have often seen on the sidelines Max Verstappen, for the team from Milton Keynes however, he has been working almost from the very beginning. Max Verstappn’s first mechanic became Stevenson in 2016, the year before he had performed the same role for Daniil Kvyat.

Verstappen and Stevenson caught up quickly and well, so their breakup is a considerable surprise, Stevenson however, he has already said he feels sad because this year Verstappen he won’t be able to stand by as he feels like they haven’t finished the job yet.

“Ten wins, three first starting positions, 42 podiums. I didn’t think it would be part of such a success story with the best racer in the field. Too bad I didn’t get a chance to win the championship with him, but I’m still sure he’ll make it. My role as the first mechanic is over, but I got the opportunity to take on an important role in the team and I couldn't refuse it, ” he adds Stevenson.

What this new role is is not yet clear, nor is it known who it will be Stevenson replaced in place the first mechanic. The Briton was known for emotionally monitoring what was going on in the pits and also after a miraculous repair of a Verstappn race car before the race for the Hungarian GP at Hungaroring.
