They have managed to keep jobs and the team alive, and now we can also focus on developing the car, ” he adds Russell: "We now have both an executive and a technical director, which is exceptionally important, as the Formula 1 car is like a huge challenging puzzle and the technical director is like a conductor who puts the pieces together into a meaningful whole."

The first results of the changes are already visible. After two seasons in which they were anything but competitive, it was Williams returned alive last year and was in qualifying with Russell completely equivalent Haas in Alfa Romeo. The young Briton regularly qualified for Q2 on Saturday, but in the race the team failed to upgrade his good performances in the qualifiers.

Despite hoping to leave this year last place in the design championship, Williams does not want to invest large sums in the current race car. Instead team from Grove next year focuses on changing the rules, bringing an interesting new opportunity.
