Kia Ceed, the best-selling model of this Korean brand, received some improvements for the model year 2022. The five-door sedan, station wagon and shooting brake version, which will be available in our country in the fall, have been redesigned front end, different wheels and refreshed body and cabin colors. In response to customer preferences and automotive trends, they are now also available new engines in gearboxes.
Model Ceed, long recognized for its key role in promoting the Korean car brand in Europe, is the first model of the brand to be designed, developed in made v Evropi and specifically designed for European tastes. A model that accounts for 28 percent of Kia’s sales in Evropi, with all its variants, remains its strong representative and serious competition the best-selling European models that have dominated this class for decades.
The Ceed family offers customers modern powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid
(PHEV) and mild hybrid (MHEV), with a power of 74 kW to 150 kW (100 KM to 204 KM). Customers will be able to choose between turbo petrol (1.0 T-GDI and 1.5 T-GDI) and diesel engines (1.6 CRDi)who share Kia’s engine technology Smartstream.
Engines Smartstream feature Kia’s engine technology with time-varying valve timing control (CVVT) that optimizes performance. CVVT is also improved by a low-pressure exhaust gas recycling valve (LP EGR), which returns some hot gases from the engine to the combustion chamber to reduce the loss due to pumping and improves fuel efficiency.
Production renewed of the Ceed family starts in mid-August at Kia's European factory (Žilina, Slovakia), sale so it begins autumn.
