With the model Rolls-Royce Ghost namely, they went to London and stopped at several locations associated with the life of this aviation and automotive pioneer, who was born in London but always kept in touch with his relatives in Wales, where his family comes from.
First they met with Ghost stopped in the fourth Mayfair, where Charles Stewart Rolls, the third child of the lord and lady, was born in a house at 35 Hill Street Llangattock. Rolls, unlike its later business partner, Henry Royce, lived a privileged life and, among other things, was educated at Eton, while Royce began his career as a telegram deliverer, delivering them to the Rolls family in his youth.
Then they stopped at 119 Piccadilly, where until 1961 it was the seat of the Royal Aero Club (Royal Aero Club). Charles Rolls was one of the founders of the club in 1901, where he started as a balloonist and in 1903 he also received an award. Gordon Bennett Gold Medal for the longest uninterrupted balloon flight. Seven years later, he was the second in England to obtain a pilot's license, and in the same year he flew the first Englishman. Rolls was also one of the co-founders of the Royal Automobile Club in 1877 (RAC), where on the trip they also became z Ghost. It was thanks to this club that they met Charles Rolls in Henry royce. In the end, they stopped at 14-15 Conduit Street, where the company had Rolls-Royce its office premises and where Charles Rolls had his office between 1905 and 1910.
Charles rolls died in 1910 in a plane crash at a plane rally nearby Bournemouthwhen the tail of his broke off Wright Flyer. He was 32 years old.
