Election of the President of the FIE: THE ETHICAL COMMISSION draws attention to potential IRREGULARITIES

The head of the ethics commission warns against pressure on delegates before the election for the new president of the FIE.

Ethics Commission The World Automobile Federation (FIA) has warned candidates for the presidency not to exercise unacceptable pressure to eligible voters. Specifically, she warned not to require voters to send them photos of completed ballots to prove that they voted for the preferred candidate.

On December 17, v Paris elected a successor Jean Todt, who will no longer run. For now, there are two candidates, namely Graham stoker ter Mohammed ben Sulayem. Both are currently running a campaign and assembling their own candidate team.

Jean Todt will get his successor to head the FIE on December 17th.

Ahead of the hottest phase of the election campaign, union representatives are clearly concerned that competing camps will not be tackled by fair means alone. That's why Francois bellanger, President FIE Ethics Committee, decided to send a letter to all FIE members, and the letter itself was also published on the website of the World Automobile Federation.

In it Bellanger stresses the importance of the presidential election being in line with "The highest standards of governance, integrity and democracy", which are “Written in our statutes”. He added: "In this regard, it is our duty to ensure that all those involved in the campaign and the electoral process respect the standards of conduct set out in the FIE Code of Ethics."
