V next year they will resign from their positions as Formula 1 sports chief Ross Brawn and technical yet Pat symonds. With that, Formula is losing two large figures. This was announced by Formula 1 itself in a document on the future of the royal class of motorsport. Exactly when he will resign Brown, who has already turned 67, is not yet known. According to information, this is expected to happen towards the end of the year. Symonds, which has a large share in the new generation of racing cars, is expected to say goodbye in the summer of 2022.
Brown he took his position January 2017, immediately after taking over the Formula Liberty Media, after taking a few years off after saying goodbye to Mercedes. During his tenure, he led both changes in sports as well as technical regulations. It is not yet clear whether he will perform an honorary or advisory task within Formula 1, nor is his successor known.

March 2017 invited to Formula 1 Symonds, his former colleague at Benettonto control technical department and focused on the new rules, which should have come into force this year, but for well-known reasons have been postponed for one year. And because the new engine policy for the year is just around the corner, the 68-year-old has decided to step down.
The FIA takes over the technical department of Formula 1
In parallel, it should members of the technical Formula 1 teams that previously worked under the leadership Pat Symonds, transferred to FIA. This step was partly required as well EU regulation, which provides for a separation between ombudsmen and the competition organization. Although there are no signs of violation, there will be change of assurancethat those responsible will be more clearly separated. Some teams have expressed concerns that Formula 1 has been the case lately strongly clamped in the making of rules, which, however, are the responsibility of the FIA.

Pat symonds he has a team in which he has assembled 15 engineers, and most of them are former executives Formula 1 teams. And at the time the rules were being drafted, they were involved in development in various fields, from aerodynamics but all the way to new fuels. And this team, as said next year, is moving under the auspices of the umbrella organization FIA. There they will get a new boss namely Nicholas Tombazis and the head of the aerodynamics department also goes there Jason Sommerville.
Work will continue in London
Craig Wilson, who played a key role in designing new tracks and was also involved in technical package race cars, however, remains in Formula 1. Despite change of employer it is envisaged that most will remain in the offices of the Formula 1 headquarters in central London, although some could be installed in FIA bases in Genevaand in Paris. As a big part of the reorganization, there will be some departments Formula 1, which have so far been based in London, have been relocated to another headquarters in Biggin Hill in Kent.
