Racers 2022: Again, more will DEPEND ON DRIVING KNOWLEDGE

The new season is also starting a new era of Formula 1, which is supposed to make racing at the highest level even more interesting with the new so-called ground effect design of race cars that exploits the effect of the ground. The rules themselves are not written in such a way as to make it easier to overtake, but they will make it easier to follow the race car in front of you.

The concept they took in this was to reduce the aerodynamic effect of the front and rear wings, and instead used Venturi tube, which runs along the bottom of the car and thus takes care of the pressure to the ground. This is to ensure that air flow it does not disturb the race car driving in the back, which makes it easier to overtake, and at the same time the swirling air should no longer have a negative effect on overheating the tires.

Race cars of the 2022 season are expected to require more knowledge and skills from drivers.

Due to all of the above, the cars will no longer be as stable as they used to be, making them much harder to drive at the limit. Lando Norris said some time ago: “The car is significantly less stable, making it harder to drive. It's a bit like Formula 2. You have to fight with a race car all the time. ”

On the other hand, it will obviously have to be accepted that there will be race cars somewhat slower. At the beginning, there was even talk of five seconds per lap, according to the latest data, the difference is significantly smaller, all half a second.

While some racers are already warning that race cars will be essential harder to drive and will therefore also be harder to overtake, at FIA they claim that a little more driving knowledge will be needed to master the 2022 racing cars.
