The electric MINI CABRIO is coming in a limited series of 999 vehicles

Od unique to small series in eight months. Electric Mini Cabrio, which was presented in the summer of 2022, will become a reality. Mini Cooper SE Convertible will be produced in a limited series from April 999 units. The electric Mini Cooper SE was introduced three years ago and today one in five Minis sold in Europe is electric. According to the head of the brand Stephanie Wurst this success inspired them to introduce small batches.

If we think about it electric Fiat 500C, which actually only has a canvas roof, is the new Mini model at all the first electric convertible. The car will be available in black and white. Door handles, lights and other details are processed in bronze color, and mini logos and inscriptions of the model in black. E logo, familiar from the Mini Cooper SE, is on the front bumper and on the rear. Inscription 1/999 emphasizes the exclusive character. There are also special ones 17-inch rims when made entirely of recycled aluminum and are processed using only green electricity. Leather seats offer heating and adjustable thigh support. The steering wheel, which is also heated, is wrapped in nappa leather and has a badge Mini Electric on the lower arm. Many surfaces are treated in piano black color, and there is also ambient light. Yellow color notes emphasize the electric drive.

The new Mini Cabriolet has special wheels made of recycled aluminum and produced using only green electricity.

Just like the regular electric Mini, it is convertible receiving so-called services eDrive. This includes information about the current consumes energy and energy saving tips. Driving information is displayed in head-up screen. On longer trips adaptive cruise control increases comfort. The cabriolet is s 3,86 meters a centimeter longer than the closed version, and the wheelbase is the same. The trunk is s 160 liters just as large as the gasoline model. Electric drive, which in the regular Cooper SE offers 135 kW, accelerates the convertible up to 100 km/h 7,3 seconds. Range according to WLTP is 201 kilometers, which is slightly less than the closed model, which has values of 203-233 kilometers. Canvas roof with a pattern Union Jack can be opened and closed electrically.

The new Mini electric convertible will only be produced in black and white.

Electric convertible will be built alongside the regular convertible in the Netherlands at VDL NedCar. Mini has yet to release a price for this limited-edition electric convertible. But for orientation, let's state that the usual Mini Cooper SE costs from 37.300 euros forward. It still exists, because a new generation of Chinese production is coming soon.
