Skoda Elroq: The first official preview of the electric SUV

Škoda will be according to the model Enyag presented her own another electric model. The compact SUV will be called elroq and like Enyaq will be platform based MEB of the Volkswagen Group, with a length of approx 4,50 meters but it will be a step below it. The official presentation will take place in the fall of 2024, and the company has already shown us a trailer of the front end.

The electric version of the Karoq model is the basis of the Czech car manufacturer's new campaign for e-mobility, which foresees the presentation of six battery-electric models in the next few years. After Damages in words, the new compact SUV will offer "spacious interior and considerable practicality, thus meeting the brand's requirements in terms of comfort and functionality". Design language of the model elroq is "Modern Solid", the same as the smaller one Škoda Epiq SUV, which will be based on the new platform MEB Entry, identical to the production version of the Volkswagen model ID.2 and model Cupra raval. Epiq will enter the market in 2025, and in 2026 the offer will be supplemented a seven-seater SUV. In other words, an electric Kodiaq of sorts.

Looking at first image of the Elroq model is a striking split headlight design. The thinner roof blends seamlessly with the sides. On engine cover the inscription is clearly visible Škoda, and the traditional refrigerator mask is reinterpreted by the so-called "Tech-Deck Face” with matrix LED headlights. It looks like this flatter and wider, and strength and robustness are expressed by large wheels. Oliver Stefani, head of design at It's too bad, explains: “Design plays an important role in the Škoda brand identity and is one of the main factors in our success. The continuous development of key visual elements is a challenging and exciting task. Therefore, the team and I are particularly pleased to be able to present the first Škoda model in the new Modern Solid design language with a technically designed face and an overall robust appearance. For the first time on one of our vehicles, the Škoda logo adorns the sharply designed bonnet. Elroq undoubtedly sets new trends and is a feast for the eyes."

Skoda Vision 7S concept

It will be presented this year elroq, next year Shame on the Epiq, and will be presented in 2026 a seven-seater SUV. The latter will be on top Damages offer and will be closely related to the model Vision 7S, which was presented in an international preview in Prague in 2022.
