Jimny has become an absolute icon Suzuki's vehicle offers. But now it's coming to an end: Before the legendary SUV stops selling in its current form in Europe, Suzuki will introduce a special model in Germany called Horizon. This includes a front grille with Suzuki lettering, underbody protection on the front bumper, a set of side wings Adventure, flexible fenders on the wheel arch linings and spare wheel cover, which is also adorned with the Suzuki inscription. "LJ", as his fans affectionately called him, caused an unexpected stir in Germany passion for cars with four-wheel drive. In the meantime, it is Suzuki became the largest brand of off-road vehicles in Germany and established an entire family of vehicles with a successful off-road model 4 × 4. Suzuki's little climbers - LJ first, later Samurai and from the year 1998 Jimny - with their off-road capabilities and functionality, they not only aroused the interest of many customers from the forestry and construction industry, but with their purist design also convinced the young audience, for whom the joy of life and active leisure time are in the foreground. With the fourth generation, presented in 2018, it did Jimny reinvented while retaining the features that made its predecessors so successful. The drive provides 1,5 liter gasoline engine with power 75 kW (102 hp) and maximum torque 130 Nm. Optional all-wheel drive with field reducer in combination with a robust ladder frame and rigid wheel suspension with rigid front and rear axles enables true off-road characteristics. From 2021, Suzuki offers Jimny only in the commercial vehicle version with two seats, a large luggage compartment (863 liters of luggage volume) and a flat luggage floor. And what comes next? The model is now available worldwide Jimny with five doors. However, it still has a 1,5-liter naturally aspirated engine under the hood, which has problems with the emission standard in Europe.
