Smart Car Platform is obvious Stellantis' trump card for the coming years. It's not just small cars and small cars that should be based on this low-cost architecture SUVs, such as Citroen e-C3 ali Fiat Grande Panda, but also larger vehicles. They are among them compact SUV and fastback of the C segment. This has now been announced by the boss of the brand Olivier Francois in celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Fiat brand.
Both new models were already shown in form in February 2024 renderings, reports Autocar. They are supposed to start mass production in the year 2025 and 2026 respectively. However, it is not yet known in what order. It's in February Fiat presented not only a model study Panda (which will now be in serial production as the Fiat Grande Panda), but also four other high class vehicles. Fiat did not reveal their names. He only said that all the vehicles will be based on same platform, which obviously meant the Smart Car platform. The first model will be presented July 11, 2024, wrote Fiat - as we now know, it was a model Grande Panda. Another model is expected to be introduced every year for the next few years.

Vse studies, presented in February, were very angular and they had similar light signature – many pixels were visible on the front and back, as with the Fiat Grande Panda. However, the Grande Panda with its length 3,99 meters belongs to the segment B SUV, Fastback and SUV in the segment C-SUV. It is quite possible that they are based on Citroen e-C3 Aircross, which is also based on the Smart Car platform and can be extended 4,39 meters classified in the segment of compact vehicles. Citroën e-C3 Aircross it also has a longer wheelbase than the e-C3 (2,67m instead of 2,54m).
Fiat SUV Concept

February concept SUV looks similar to the model Grande Panda, but it looks very stretched. Fiat wants to advertise the vehicle as spacious family SUV, as a kind of "Giga Panda". However, there are seven seats, as the e combustion version has-C3 Aircross, unlikely, as the bodywork is closed behind the C-pillar.
Fiat FastbackConcept

Fastback study is very similar to the SUV study; apparently it was obliquely formed only rear side of the body – the two cars are probably identical up to the C-pillar. Therefore, the car could also be described as corner coupe SUV. Fiat promises sporty genes and adequate performance. The aerodynamically favorable body should ensure low fuel consumption
