After the electric Cadillac Escalade IQ, the American luxury carmaker is updating its gasoline giant for the 2025 model year. The Escalade has a new face, a huge touchscreen, and good news for all gasoline enthusiasts - the Escalade-V remains in the lineup for another year.
If the gasoline Escalade looks a lot like its electric counterpart, that's because Cadillac borrowed lighting elements from the IQ model and other Caddy electric vehicles like the Celestiq and Lyriq. Vertical headlights with LED accents adorn the corner of the bumper, a new illuminated Cadillac crest graces the bonnet, and on V-series models and up, the entire radiator grille surround is illuminated.
Twenty-four-inch wheels are available for the first time on the gasoline Escalade, but 22-inch wheels remain the standard option. A handful of new wheel options can be combined with fresh paint colors such as Aegean Stone green, Deep Sea Metallic blue or Latte Metallic light bronze.
Behind the new power doors, the facelifted Escalade has a massive display on the dashboard that measures a whopping 55 inches from pillar to pillar. The driver has a 35-inch screen, while the front passenger has a 20-inch touchscreen with the ability to stream video content. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are still here as standard, and second-row passengers have access to 12,6-inch touchscreens when equipped with the optional Executive Second Row package.
The Escalade has the same 6,2-liter V8 engine as last year, which produces 309 kW (420 horsepower) and 625 Newton meters of torque. It is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The bad news for all diesel fans is that the 3,0-liter Duramax engine is being phased out for good. The Escalade-V still has its 6,2-liter supercharged V8 engine, which develops 501 kW (682 hp) and 930 Nm of torque.
The Escalade-V also got some performance-specific improvements. The front grille is more aggressive and has a larger lower grill for better cooling. Inside, there are several carbon fiber accents wrapped in Jet Black leather. Except for the base Escalade, every trim comes with the latest Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 system with Air Ride adaptive suspension, and the Super Cruise system is standard on all trims.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade-V will go on sale later this year, but the company has yet to announce pricing. Current pricing for the 2024 Escalade starts at $112.690; however, we expect the price of the facelifted model to increase slightly across all variants.
