Lanzante's latest creation blurs the lines between racing and road cars. Background story: Two owners of the famous Porsche 935 approached the tuner with a rather demanding query. Request: Would it be possible to convert their over-911 vehicles, which are only allowed on closed tracks, to road vehicles? After more than 18 months of development, the eye-catching pair of Porsches made their debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. With a road permit, of course.
Reminder: Porsche presented the new 2018 model at the Rennsport Reunion in 935. It is based on the 991 GT2 RS model, is not suitable for road use in its original condition, but has a 3,8-liter boxer biturbo engine with 700 hp. It weighs only 1380 kilograms. The Zuffenhausen-based company produced only 77 of them. Original price: just under 700.000 euros. It took Lanzante 18 months to realize the ambitious plan. The retro racing car had to undergo various adjustments. Porsche has already equipped the car with a wider track, a kind of long rear and a large rear wing. The width of the 935 is 2,03 meters, while the wings are 1,91 meters wide.

The tuner's changes include a customized suspension, optimized brakes, handbrake and new wheels. For use on public roads, the installation of appropriate headlights was not unimportant either. The lights were integrated into the existing bodywork, and custom electronics were also developed to turn on the headlights. Lanzante designed his extensions to look like original car accessories. One 935 now has a modern interpretation of the Martini look, while the other has a red and white Marlboro-Chevron design.

The 935s are just two of the cars Lanzante had in his luggage at Goodwood. The McLaren P1 GTR drift car with a Wankel engine and the new TAG Championship 911 with a real Formula 1 engine were also on display.
