BMW is ushering in a bold new design era with its Neue Klasse EV electric vehicles, as it plans to introduce six innovations over the next few years. This dramatic new design language has been showcased in several concepts, including a sedan that hints at the upcoming 3 Series and an X3-style SUV. While both look good, neither is as striking or eye-catching as Sugar Design's Neue Klasse Touring.
At the end of last year, the talented designer first turned the original Neue Klasse sedan concept into a hatchback, but only depicted it from the rear. Since then, the entire gallery has been created in two versions. Both got us excited about the prospect of a stunning 3 Series-sized hatchback that would carry some serious E30 nostalgia.

Both creations are almost identical. However, the silver version in the photos does not have the corner LED daytime running lights of the concept and has four "angel eyes". While these lights were cool a decade ago, they're not particularly common anymore, but we think they're perfect for a van like this. The red car has the same daytime running lights as the concept and looks to be closer to the ones we'll eventually get on the Neue Klasse production model.
Some more subtle changes were made when converting the original show car into a van. For example, Sugar Design lowered the height of the side windows slightly, ensuring that their undersides now match the shoulder line. Different rims and black bumpers were also added.

The silver vehicle was also equipped with conventional side mirrors, while the red vehicle has rear-facing cameras. Both have a large panoramic glass roof. While we wouldn't go so far as to say that a new BMW van that looks like this would be the best-looking car in its class, it's definitely an improvement over where BMW's models have been for the past decade.
