It's been a while since we've featured a luxury motorhome. Now it's the turn of the most luxurious of them all. Prevost is known for its luxurious upgrades. This monstrous vehicle, called the Loki Coach, is likely to take things to the extreme, however. We're allowed to dream a little, even though we don't have $2,5 million (about €2,27 million) for a home on wheels. But what does an RV worth millions really look like? What makes it special? It was viewed by YouTuber Erik Van Conover, who spent some time with this giant at this year's Formula 1 race in Canada.
It starts with the somewhat shocking fact that the front seats alone cost $20.000. Each front seat. By pressing a button on one of the ten panels in the vehicle, a 65-inch TV is lowered from the ceiling. Another button brings up the 50-inch screen in the master bedroom. And if you want to watch TV outside - a third TV with a 55-inch diagonal screen slides out from one of the many external drawers. The living space is significantly increased, as two spaces move outwards while driving. There should be more space here than in many apartments. In any case, there is room for different sofas. One of them also stretches out into a bed.
There is an electric folding table in the kitchen and of course no one can survive on the road without a dishwasher. Speaking of which, the Loki kitchen also has a combination washer and dryer. In the kitchen area you will also discover the first of the two bathrooms. Quite practical: all drawers, cabinets and storage spaces are equipped with an electromagnetic lock that prevents them from being opened during travel. In the back of the Loki there is a double bed and a second bathroom with a shower that is large enough to fit a bench seat. This space is separated from the rest of the interior by a door. This ensures privacy. Privacy is also ensured by electrically tinted glass and blinds on all sides. All electric, of course.
As you can see, there are a lot of things to run that require energy. That is why the roof of the Loki vehicle is covered with solar panels. There are also enough lithium-ion batteries to keep multiple air conditioning systems running for days. If more juice is needed, the vehicle's diesel engine kicks in and charges the batteries. There is even enough energy to operate a level 2 charging station for electric cars. The downside is that you have to bring the car yourself or hook it up and drive it on the back of a trailer. Between the outdoor kitchen, TV, luggage spaces, all the electronics, batteries and piping for the water system, there really wasn't room for a garage. What a shame.
There are certainly worse places to spend a weekend at the racetrack (or anywhere else). But for just under €2,3 million you get a lot of hotel rooms and cool cars.
