It features a sloping roofline, redesigned rear end and updated taillights with optional digital OLED technology. Despite its sportier profile, the Q5 Sportback still offers 515 liters of boot space, which can be expanded to 1.415 liters with the rear seats folded down.
Inside, the Q5 Sportback boasts a modern cabin with an 11,9-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14,5-inch central touchscreen and an optional 10,9-inch passenger display. Sustainable materials such as Cascade recycled fabric and Dinamica microfiber are incorporated into the upholstery.
At launch, the Q5 Sportback will be available as a mild hybrid with petrol and diesel engines. The entry-level 2.0 TFSI and 2.0 TDI engines produce 150 hp (201 kW), with the diesel having more torque. A 48-volt mild-hybrid system provides an additional increase in power.
The sporty version of the SQ5 Sportback is now powered by a 3,0-litre V6 turbocharged petrol engine. This mild hybrid configuration produces (270 kW) 362 hp and 550 Nm of torque and is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Deliveries of the Q5 Sportback in Europe are expected to begin next month, with prices starting at €54.800 for the base model and €85.400 for the SQ5 Sportback. Both versions are 2.500 EUR more expensive than the standard Q5 models.
