Dacia Vaner: A budget van can look so cool

Dacia used to offer many spacious vehicles. Just think of the Lodgy, a van of sorts, or the Dokker as a cheaper Renault Kangoo. And today? Okay, there are factory camper conversions and Joggers with up to seven seats.

The new Dacia Bigster, a 4,60 meter long SUV with five seats, will also be presented soon. Despite this, there are still customers who trust the Lodgy and Dokker models. Or those who want something even more spacious, as the parent company Renault has various delivery vehicles in its program, such as the Trafic.

How about this unofficial digital design from Artstation? This is the Vaner 2024, a hypothetical low-cost van from a Romanian brand. Today we want to show you several computer generated images of the vehicle so that you can get to know it better. Should Dacia build something like this? These pictures are the work of Andrej Dila, who shows us the car in different colors (orange is great!) and from different angles. We can see in detail the two side sliding doors with glass openings and the double rear doors.

You can also notice a large open space in the luggage compartment, which is completely covered with plastic material to withstand even the most demanding conditions. Other highlights include tinted rear windows and striking wheel rims. I don't know about you, but we think this vehicle would be an instant hit.

We think the aesthetics are very successful thanks to the modern Dacia grille in the style of the new Duster, the Y-shaped daytime running lights and the SUV-style underbody protection. The color is up to you, so check out the attached gallery. And the engines? There is nothing better than looking at the engines of the Renault Trafic model, the "cousin" of the Dacia model, and "transplanting" them: for example, the Blue dCi 110, 150 and 170 diesels, depending on the needs of the transport company in question.

The range of delivery vehicles will naturally include different lengths, number of seats and load capacity. Not to mention it could also make the perfect budget camper, where camping has been so trendy since the pandemic. In other words, a 'round' offer for Dacia. As for the price, it could start selling for around 27.000 euros, as the base price of the Trafic model in Germany is 32.550 euros.

Of course, Dacia is in enviable form with the best-selling Sandero and the new Duster, not to mention the versatile Jogger or the affordable electric Spring. But if we dared to close the gap even more, we would certainly achieve very good results. Has anyone started a signature campaign for Vanero?
