With the Sherpa 4×4 model, Greenlander presents an expedition vehicle designed for demanding off-road trips. The vehicle combines off-road performance and living comfort and is suitable for off-road adventures.
The Sherpa is based on the robust Iveco Daily 4×4 vehicle. The 3,0bhp 176-litre diesel engine is managed via a 6-speed manual transmission and optional all-wheel drive. With a wading depth of 660 mm and a ground clearance of 255 mm, the vehicle is designed for various types of terrain. The body of the Sherpa is made of natural composite fibers (NFC), which provide stability and good insulation. With a total length of 6,37 meters and a width of 2,17 meters, the expedition vehicle offers living space for up to four people. The insulation value is approximately 0,317 K.m²/W, which enables effective temperature regulation.
The interior is equipped with a functional kitchen with a 1120 x 622 mm worktop. It is equipped with a stainless steel sink measuring 340 x 290 x 150 mm, a folding tap, two gas hobs and a gas oven. A compressor refrigerator with a capacity of 90 liters provides sufficient cooling. Two cabinets above the work surface and eight drawers below provide plenty of storage space.
The sleeping concept includes a spacious bed with dimensions of 2000 x 1400 x 18,5 mm. The mattress has two hardness levels (medium hard and hard) in one piece. There is a large drawer under the bed and additional storage space is available above the bed on the driver's side.
The living space at Hotel Sherpa is well thought out. Two benches face each other, and between them is a table measuring 550 x 780 mm. This layout can be converted into an additional bed (1540 x 780 mm) if necessary. There are three wardrobes under the ceiling above the sitting area. Special functionality is offered by a large pull-out compartment under the right bench, which is equipped with a 12 V connection - ideal for installing a cooler. The Sherpa bathroom is compact but functional. It measures 1400 x 800/670 mm, has a fixed washbasin, a hand shower with a wall bracket and a cabinet with three drawers. The equipment is completed by a composting toilet and ventilation through the roof hatch.
Sherpa technical equipment is designed for self-sufficiency. A LiPo battery with a capacity of 200 Ah in conjunction with a 1600 VA inverter ensures a reliable supply of electricity. The fresh water tank inside has a capacity of 110 liters and there are two insulated and heated 70 liter tanks outside. The gray water tank has a volume of 70 liters. A Truma Combi 6D air heater is used for air conditioning.
Safety features include ABS, ESP and Hill Start Assist. The wheels are fitted with 265/70 R19,5 tires that ensure good ground clearance. A special feature is the Mastervolt CZone Touch 7 control unit, which enables centralized management of all systems in the vehicle. Connectivity is provided by a 5G WiFi router with two SIM cards. The Sherpa device offers various power connections: Inside there is a 230 V connection, a USB/C connection and an induction charger in the table. In the garage there are two 230 V sockets, a 12 V socket and a USB-C socket with 100 W. The Sherpa is well equipped for longer journeys: The diesel fuel tank holds 85 liters and the AdBlue tank 20 litres. There is also a 50 liter gas tank under the vehicle.
Compared to the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based Malibu Genius Performance 4×4 641 LE, the Sherpa has more off-road capabilities. The Krug Expedition Rhino XL on the Mercedes Atego chassis is larger but less agile than the Sherpa and, at 359.000 euros, it is also considerably more expensive. The Greenlander Sherpa 4×4 is intended for travelers looking for a reliable vehicle for expeditions. With a base price of approximately 249.900 euros, the Sherpa offers a combination of off-road capabilities, living comfort and technical equipment. In addition, it is possible to reserve a production place for 10.000 euros, thus securing a place in production at an early stage.
