Sixteen rolls. This has a magical sound. Think Bugattis, Cizeta-Moroder from the 16s or very old Cadillacs. However, the VXNUMX can also be built from chainsaws. You read that right. YouTube explains it for you.
They did something new again. The Garage 54 team installed their chainsaw V16 engine into a randomly selected vehicle. Well, maybe it wasn't a coincidence, because they reworked the Lada vehicle. Lado 2106 to be exact. The team built the engine, consisting of 16 two-stroke Hüter BS-62 chainsaws with a volume of 58 cubic centimeters (hence the logo on the side), already in the previous video, and in the latest video, after installing it in an old Soviet sedan, they put it to the test drive. The Garage 54 team had to increase the engine compartment of the Lada. Available data shows that the V16 engine was 131 cm long, which is considerably longer than the standard Lada engine (47 cm).
Therefore, the mechanics at garage 54 significantly lengthened the fenders to accommodate the engine, as well as lengthening the brake ducts and steering shaft. However, they didn't make a new hood because who would want to hide that fantastic design? (Or crazy design, depending on your point of view.) After the engine was installed, the car was tested in the garage and driven under its own power. He was then taken outside, where he was further tested, which proved to be successful. The V16 engine with a volume of 928 cubic centimeters and a power of 74 hp accelerated the stretched Lada to 60 km/h in a "wonderful" 26 seconds. For comparison, the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut reaches 400 km/h from the city and stops again in… 27,83 seconds!
This is "dangerously" slow for today's roads. However, the Garage 54 team proves once again that with enough ingenuity, trial and error, anything is possible, and they have a list of other designs, each more unusual than the last, that they have already developed or are still in the planning stages. Don't forget that the guys from Garage 54 are known for all kinds of mechanical "monsters", such as two Ladas welded in parallel, or a stunning Lada with more than 300 LED lights scattered throughout the body.
