Farizon SV: In pursuit of Transit

Farizon Auto, part of the Geely Group, is entering the highly competitive electric van market with its new SV model, aiming to challenge the dominance of the Ford Transit. Designed specifically for European fleets, the Farizon SV features a modular architecture and allows for a variety of battery and body configurations.

The SV’s modular platform features cell-to-pack technology, which increases battery capacity by 10 percent while reducing weight by 4 percent. Initially, customers can choose between 67 kWh and 83 kWh battery packs, with a 106 kWh battery pack available later. The van will be available in three lengths and three heights to suit a wide range of needs.

Farizon emphasizes safety and performance, so the SV is equipped with a “dual redundant drive-by-wire system” for steering and braking. This technology is said to not only improve the vehicle’s responsiveness, but also allow for greater payload. The SV is said to be able to carry a maximum of 1.100 kg to 1.300 kg and a cargo volume of 6,9 cubic meters to 13 cubic meters.

The Farizon SV's cabin features a functional design with a large infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster and three seats. Pricing details have not yet been revealed, but sales in (some) EU markets are expected to begin in the middle of next year.
