Faraday Future announces an interesting minivan despite poor prospects

Faraday Future has released a trailer for its upcoming Super One minivan. It is expected to go into production later this year and will be the first member of Faraday's X line-up, aimed at selling affordable cars.

The minivan, which is expected to debut in June, has a massive grille that even Lexus can't compete with. It appears to be slightly inward-facing and has a fully enclosed design with illuminated accents.

Additional details are hard to make out, but we can see the slim headlights, sculpted grille, and pronounced wheel arches. Previous trailers have also revealed the minivan's general shape.

Faraday didn't say much about the van, but described it as an AI-MPV that will meet the dynamic and diverse needs of visionaries and their families. The model is also said to provide twice the capacity for half the price.

The Faraday X line is designed to compete in the $20.000 to $80.000 price range, and previous reports have suggested the van will feature two rows of leather seats. Passengers in the second row will have priority, so they will reportedly be greeted with a small refrigerator and heated and massaging seats with built-in leg rests.

Little else is known about the van at this time, but the company has previously hinted that it could have an electric drivetrain and a range extender. Faraday also hinted that it will start taking pre-orders in the second quarter of this year.

However, everything is still up in the air, with Faraday Future recently admitting that the FX family is dependent on securing adequate financing and completing the necessary deals. That's not encouraging when the automaker is on a poor run, posting a $355,8 million loss last year.
