We're still a good year away from May 26, 2026, when Grand Theft Auto VI is released, but until then, we still have more than enough time to thoroughly explore the cars that await us in Vice City.
Right after Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto VI wouldn't be released for at least another year, they treated us to another trailer. It's been almost a year and a half since the first one, so we were naturally curious to see what the new game had to offer in terms of cars. Rockstar is used to the trend of repeating some vehicles from older video games, but the new trailer also features some interesting new features, and fans of muscle cars that closely resemble Ford products will be particularly excited. Among them is the Vapid, whose in-game model name we don't yet know, but we do know that it is modeled after the Ford Rancher. Right at the beginning of the trailer, we see another Vapid vehicle (Ford's virtual equivalent), namely a semi-truck with the name "Caracara", which literally translates from Spanish as "face".+
The story then follows Jason as he drives around Vice City, which is heavily based on Miami, where semi-trucks dominate – a very good approximation of the real situation in Miami. Among the vehicles we see a Bison (the virtual equivalent of a Ram semi-truck) hauling a jet ski on a trailer behind it, and an older Sandking in a two-tone combination of orange and white. To be precise, we also notice an Invetero Coquette D10 lurking in the traffic, which clearly resembles a Corvette C8. In the background, Rockstar subtly shows off the game's graphical improvements with realistic lighting effects, police cars in the style of Ford Taurus and Crown Victoria, and passing trains that greatly enhance the scene.
The trailer then speeds up with a series of short cutscenes that are quite difficult to follow, but around the second minute we see a Bison (Ram's semi-truck) with dual rear axles pulling a vault - Fast and Furious fans will quickly associate the scene with Fast Five. Later, a similar shot follows with daytime scenes of Vice City, where sports and exotic cars such as the Bravado Banshee (Viper), Pfister Comet (911) and the updated Schafter (S-Class) wait at a traffic light. The presence of older vehicles, familiar from GTA V, suggests that they will receive a visual refresh and upgrade.

Rockstar has shared a few additional images on its website that aren't in the trailer - including the interior of the Bravada Gauntlet Hellfire, an ingenious cross between a Camaro and a Challenger with a large air compressor. In one of the last shots, Jason rides a motorcycle, the details of which - materials and reflections, thanks to "ray tracing" technology - look extremely realistic. The final shot belongs to an old, faded Chevrolet Malibu-style car that the main characters use for their criminal exploits on the streets of Vice City. However, the player will have to wait another year to be able to explore the streets of Vice City with the help of "ray tracing" technology. It's true that we've been waiting for more than a decade, but don't worry - we're getting closer every day!
