The TZ3 Zagato is based on the Dodge Viper and has its ten-cylinder engine. Small series and understandably high price.
Some of the most beautiful and exciting cars in automotive history are the result of the collaboration between Alfa Romeo and Zagato. Just think of the Junior Zagato (1969 to 1975), the rugged ES30 from the early 90s, or the unique Giulia SWB Zagato unveiled last year. Another special work is now for sale in the United States.

While taste shouldn't be up for debate (and why shouldn't it?), the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale shown here is certainly one of the most beautiful models in history. Zagato presented the car at the 2010 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the Cuore Sportivo.
Previously, a German collector had ordered a TZ3 Corsa as a one-off, non-roadworthy example based on the Alfa Romeo 8C. Zagato then followed up with the roadworthy Stradale. It was also originally planned as a one-off, but a total of nine examples were built in 2011.

Interestingly, the Stradale is based on the Dodge Viper ACR-X platform. Under the long hood is also hidden its mighty 8,4-liter ten-cylinder engine. Thanks to the carbon chassis and aluminum bodywork, the car weighs an incredible 850 kilograms. Combined with the 600 hp and 760 Nm of the American V10, a real beast has been created on beautifully classic Alfa wheels. The car is apparently capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just over three seconds. The top speed is said to exceed 320 km/h.

The downside of the Viper genes: they're hard to miss inside. Although they've tried their best to hide the worst. For example, we see the very Italian-style seats in a delicious cinnamon color that goes perfectly with the car's dark blue.

The car you see here was part of a collection in Arizona. It has only 3.000 kilometers on the clock and was offered by Young Motorcars. There are varying estimates of the original price for one of the nine TZ3 Stradales. Several reports from the time list it at €500.000. This example is now for sale for $675.000, which is currently equivalent to €591.000.
