Tesla Model YL revealed with six seats

More power, more space and a surprise in the seating arrangement.

Tesla will introduce a longer and more powerful version of its popular Model Y, dubbed the Model Y L, according to documents from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). This new version is not only longer, but also boasts significantly more power and a unique six-seat configuration, moving away from the typical seven-seat configuration found in some larger SUVs. The Model YL is expected to hit the Chinese market in the fall, with North America and Europe expected to launch next year.

The Model YL is 4.976 mm long, which is 186 mm longer than the standard Model Y, and is also 44 mm taller. Importantly, the wheelbase has been extended to 3.040 mm, which is 150 mm longer than the five-seat version, providing additional space inside. In addition to the dimensions, the new Model YL will have different wheels, an upgraded spoiler and new seats, and will also be available in a new gold color.
The YL model will produce 340 kW (455 hp), up from the standard Model Y's 331 kW (443 hp), which will come in handy when compensating for the extra pounds.

Although specific prices for the European market are not yet known, they will definitely cost a little more than the regular Model Y.
