The most powerful AMG GT of all time is called the GT2 Edition W16 – and it looks like it wants to swap the pit lane for a collector's shelf.
With 830 hp, Formula 1 DRS technology and a strict limit of 30 cars, Mercedes-AMG has created a track tool that appeals to both adrenaline junkies and people with big garages and even bigger wallets. Each one is signed by Mercedes Formula 1 driver Kimi Antonelli – including the collector's value.

Due to the lack of homologation, there were no limits to the flood of horsepower. Under the hood is a 4,0-liter V8 biturbo, which already delivers 707 hp in the basic GT2 model. But AMG thought: "There's always a little more possible." With new turbochargers and the Push2Pass system, the power is briefly increased to 830 hp, and the torque exceeds the 1000 newton meters mark. With a curb weight of just 1430 kilograms, this is a power-to-weight ratio that would make even many a true racing car bow its hat politely.
The sequential six-speed gearbox is mounted on the rear axle in the form of a transaxle, the dampers are adjustable in four directions, and the magnesium wheels in Petronas green bring an F1 touch to the racetrack. The aerodynamics are no less spectacular: active flaps, a carbon fiber spoiler lip and a drag reduction system. At the touch of a button on the steering wheel, the rear wing folds down – and the AMG is already racing at speeds of over 320 km/h. If you now activate the Push2Pass program, you will experience warp speed.

The interior is dominated by matte exposed carbon fiber and green accents. A “1 of 30” badge hints at the limited edition, while Antonelli’s autograph adorns the door sills. Racing bucket seats, a modified Cube Controls steering wheel and a full range of motorcycle safety equipment ensure that the Tracktool is not only fast, but also trustworthy.

You will never see this weapon in racing mode, as this beast is not homologated according to any regulations. There are almost no comparable cars. So it remains "only" to use it on race tracks. Or in a showcase, which would be a complete shame. For example, a lap time on the Nordschleife would be interesting. Just saying.
That leaves the price: 679.000 euros net. A lot of money? Definitely. But hey – for that you get the most powerful AMG GT ever, an exclusive race track handover, a racing suit and a helmet. It almost sounds like a bargain. But you have to be able to afford it.
