In 2026, the Volkswagen Group will present its family of electric small cars. The most important model will probably be the VW ID. Polo, including the GTI version. Skoda will present the Epiq model, which is closely related to the VW ID. Cross. The first will be Cupra with the Raval model. Now, new official images are available, showing more details of the production version.
In an exclusive test drive in a pre-production version, the model demonstrated key features that are expected to characterize the production vehicle from 2026 onwards. The heavily camouflaged version demonstrated precise handling and dynamic driving.

The Raval is based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB+ platform and has front-wheel drive. The technical basis is based on efficiency and driving stability. With a length of around four meters, the smallest Cupra belongs to the electric city car segment, but goes beyond urban use. Thanks to the well-utilized interior space, variable luggage compartment and balanced chassis setup, the model can also cover longer distances.
The Raval will be launched in 2026 as the first vehicle in a family of electric city cars. This series comprises four models from the Volkswagen Group. Production will begin in the coming months in Martorell. The Raval will be followed by, among others, the Volkswagen ID.Polo. The aim of this model family is to make electric mobility more widely accessible and to appeal emotionally to this segment.

According to Markus Haupt, CEO of Cupra, the Raval represents the core characteristics of the brand. The vehicle is tailored to the driver and combines the brand's signature design with performance. The production plant in Martorell represents the demand for local development and production of electric mobility.
The Cupra Raval also adds technical features that go beyond the key points already announced. The vehicle will be equipped with a modern energy management system. Depending on the battery size chosen, different capacities will be available. Both AC charging and DC fast charging are provided to ensure everyday use.

The interior will feature state-of-the-art digital controls and a clearly structured user interface. Cupra is planning intuitive operation with a focus on the driver's seat. Various connectivity services and over-the-air updates are expected to expand the range of functions once launched.
The Raval will also adopt the Group's latest technologies in the area of safety and assistance systems. This includes a wide range of driver assistance functions derived from higher vehicle classes. The equipment is suitable for both urban traffic and driving on country roads and motorways. With the Raval, Cupra is giving a signal for the future direction of the brand. The model is intended to define the brand's entry into electric mobility and attract new customer groups.
