The rugged SUV enters the new model year with improved steering, increased comfort and a new special Black Edition series.
Ineos Automotive has updated its Grenadier Station Wagon and Quartermaster models for the 2026 model year, with the main technical innovation being an improved steering mechanism. The vehicles are now equipped with a variable ratio steering gear for the first time, which provides a more direct feel, better responsiveness and more confident directional stability at higher speeds or when overtaking. With additional adjustments to the steering system, engineers have reduced the turning circle by around five percent, which makes it significantly easier to maneuver in urban environments and on narrow off-road paths, while the off-road capabilities of the SUV remain the same as before.

Inside, the focus has been on passenger comfort, with optimised air conditioning components installed, which provide significantly more efficient heating and cooling of the passenger compartment. The safety and assistance systems are now fully compliant with the latest legal requirements for motor vehicles on European markets. The manufacturer has also taken practicality into account, with a new shortcut on the central display allowing the acoustic warning of the cruise control system, which is annoying for many, to be deactivated with just one touch, which is expected to help reduce distractions while driving.

The offer is also complemented by a new special version of the Black Edition, which is based on the Fieldmaster equipment and brings an exclusive all-black exterior with 18-inch alloy wheels, a dark grille, tinted windows and a dark interior. The starting price for the exclusive Black Edition on the German market is 82.890 euros, while the prices of the rest of the model range remain unchanged. The basic Grenadier and Quartermaster are available to customers in the land of white sausages and pretzels from 72.640 euros, the more work-oriented Utility Wagon version costs 71.140 euros, and the more richly equipped Trialmaster and Fieldmaster versions are available from 81.890 euros.
