The new Mercedes-Benz C 400 4MATIC Electric brings impressive range, advanced technology and a powerful drivetrain, with which it aims to take the lead in the class of luxury electric sedans.
Mercedes-Benz has revealed a completely new, all-electric version of the C-Class, which will first arrive on the market in the C 400 4MATIC version and will represent a direct competitor to the Bavarian BMW i3. The new sedan boasts an extremely aerodynamic shape with a drag coefficient of just 0,22, an illuminated grille with more than a thousand light elements and a silhouette that strongly resembles a coupe. Inside, the most outstanding feature is the optional 99-centimeter MBUX Hyperscreen with matrix lighting, which adds a level of digitalization and prestige to the dashboard in this segment, usually reserved for the larger and more expensive S-Class.

The C 400 4MATIC is powered by two electric motors that together develop a combined output of 360 kW (489 hp) and enable lightning-fast acceleration from 0 to 97 km/h in just 3,9 seconds. The powertrain is powered by a battery with a usable capacity of 94 kWh, which according to the WLTP standard promises an exceptional range of up to 762 kilometers per charge. The vehicle architecture also enables very fast charging at suitably powerful direct current (DC) charging stations, where the system can restore energy for an additional 325 kilometers of driving in just ten minutes.

The new generation of the electric C-Class also brings cutting-edge chassis solutions, including air suspension and rear axle steering with an angle of up to 4,5 degrees, which reduces the turning circle to a favorable 11,2 meters and improves agility. The entire user experience is upgraded by the latest MB.OS software platform, which supports remote updates (OTA), an artificial intelligence voice assistant and advanced level 2 assistance systems. The newcomer will initially be available to US customers, while European markets, including official torque specifications in Nm and exact vehicle prices in euros (EUR), will follow after obtaining the relevant local homologations.
