The Audi SQ5 is definitely not an “everyday car.” This mid-size SUV with a coupe-like rear is spacious and practical, but with its 3,0-liter V6 engine, 367 hp (270 kW) and 550 Nm of torque, there’s a lot of fun to be had from this car from Ingolstadt.
But Abt wouldn't be Abt if it didn't squeeze that extra bit of fun out of the car. There's probably someone out there who still shrugs their shoulders indifferently at the 4,5-second acceleration of the original model. That's why they got to work in the Allgäu and put together the entire Abt package for the Audi SQ5 Sportback.

Tuners focus on a significant increase in power. Abt offers two different upgrade levels for the V6 engine. The entry-level package is the “Abt Power S”, which increases power to an impressive 440 hp. But those who still think “yeah, that’s fine” can further exploit the potential of the three-liter engine.
In the "Abt-Power-R" version, an additional 30 hp were added in Kempten. This brings the total output to 470 hp (346 kW), while the maximum torque now amounts to 650 Nm. Although the factory has not changed the top speed, the SUV should, according to the converter, act significantly more confidently in all driving situations and accelerate more decisively.

Those who want to show off their extra power visually can choose the appropriate personalization package. New aerodynamic elements such as a front spoiler and a rear bumper insert give the SQ5 Sportback a much more aggressive look. The rear is completed by four matte black stainless steel tailpipes with a diameter of 102 millimeters.
For a more stable ride on the road, specially adapted chassis springs lower the car by 40 to 45 millimeters. This is supposed to reduce body roll when driving on fun mountain roads. Adequate contact with the asphalt is ensured by 22-inch "Abt-EVO" sports wheels in glossy black, shod with 255/35 ZR22 tires. Due to their lightweight construction, they should also contribute to more precise vehicle handling.

Anyone who wants to give their SQ5 the full package, including the Power-R power boost, aerodynamic kit, exhaust system, suspension springs, rims and discreet interior accessories, will have to set aside some money. The package costs 21.000 euros. To this must be added the costs of assembly, painting and the mandatory technical inspection of 3.520 euros.
Attention, savers: owners of the SQ5 with factory air suspension do not need additional springs for the chassis. In this case, the price of the package drops to a pleasant 20.700 euros, and the installation costs to 1.980 euros. Parts of the package can also be ordered separately. Thus, increasing the power to 440 hp costs 4.590 euros. So a little tip for those who want to maintain some discretion.
