Weinsberg CaraSuite Edition Spicy: So much motorhome for the money

There are many special models that want to attract attention with an explosion of colors or imaginative names. The new Spicy edition of the Weingberg CaraSuite 650 MEG, however, follows a different approach. At the CMT 2026, it is presented as an objectively calculated complete vehicle and offers a price advantage of more than 14.000 euros compared to the individual configuration.

The technical basis remains unchanged: the Fiat Ducato with 140 hp, front-wheel drive and standard 8-speed automatic transmission. Combined with the well-thought-out equipment and the proven floor plan, the result is a motorhome that is immediately ready for use without time-consuming configuration – not only on paper, but also in the parking space.

The semi-integrated motorhome is 6,99 metres long, 2,32 metres wide and 2,94 metres high. The interior height of 2,15 metres provides a pleasant feeling of spaciousness. The layout combines two longitudinally arranged single beds in the rear with a lift bed above the seating area. This allows up to four sleeping areas to be created without losing any living space during the day.

Particularly practical is the large storage space under the rear beds, which is easily accessible via the outer cover and offers space for bicycles or camping equipment. The beds are just over two metres long, which is enough for adults. An optional upholstery extension creates a large bed in the rear, which is already included as standard in the Spicy version.

In the Spicy version, many features that would be available as an extra in comparable models are already included as standard. The exterior immediately catches the eye with the grey colour of the cabin. Inside, special seat upholstery, darkening for the front and side windows and ambient lighting ensure a pleasant stay – even in bad weather. No savings have been made on the practical details either. Standard equipment includes a reversing camera, a 90-litre diesel tank, electric entry assistance and larger windows in the frame. The lift bed has a sturdy lifting mechanism and is discreetly hidden in the ceiling during the day.

The kitchen is functional but well-equipped. The two-burner gas stove is large enough to prepare typical camping meals, the sink is large enough for a pile of plates and, thanks to the glass lid, can also be used as a work surface. The large compressor refrigerator offers space for weekly supplies - the Spicy version has the largest version installed from the factory. The bathroom is compact, which is typical for this class, but it uses the space sensibly. The shower cabin is implemented using a rotating wall, the sink is easily accessible, and a window provides ventilation - nothing spectacular, but a reliable solution without fancy games.

A look at the technology shows that heating and insulation have not been forgotten either. The Truma gas heating with integrated MonoControl, including gas filter, provides heat and hot water. The waste tanks are insulated and heated. In combination with a fresh water tank with a capacity of around 100 litres and a 95-litre waste tank, everyday life on the road is hassle-free.

Anyone who would configure such equipment individually would pay almost 88.000 euros, according to Weinsberg. The Spicy edition costs 73.900 euros – not as an attractive offer, but as a carefully calculated complete package. The special model is limited, but without artificial shortages or obstacles to ordering.

The price advantage is tangible, not just cosmetic. And the vehicle itself is not a stylistic standout, but a semi-integrated motorhome for two to four people suitable for everyday use. With a lift-up bed, Truma heating, large storage space and solid insulation, the Edition Spicy offers exactly what many campers in this class are looking for – only it's already combined. No equipment gaps, no price traps, no drama.
