In the very small and extremely exclusive world of hypercars, the Mercedes-AMG One has established itself as a firm favourite. Thanks to its Formula 1-derived powertrain, many enthusiasts consider it the most extreme vehicle in this prestigious category. AMG would certainly not build this car again, but this extremely complex technology has brought the Swabians numerous records.
AMG has produced 275 examples since 2022 (production was originally supposed to start in 2017, but the technical obstacles on the way to serial maturity were enormous). Now one of these cars will go under the hammer at RM Sotheby's. This very green One from 2024 is practically like new with 185 km. Accordingly, the estimated price range is from 2,65 to 3 million euros. The new hypercar could be ordered for 2,75 million euros plus taxes.
The heart of the Mercedes-AMG One is an extremely complex hybrid system, derived directly from the Mercedes W07 Formula 1 racing car, with which Nico Rosberg won the world championship in 2016. It features a 1,6-liter turbocharged V6 combined with four electric motors. The total system output is 1.063 hp. This means that the One is quite a fast car. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2,9 seconds, and its top speed is 352 km/h.
In addition to the drive system, the AMG One is equipped with other technological innovations that are almost exclusively known from Formula 1 - including the DRS (Drag Reduction System) and active aerodynamic elements for optimizing airflow. Among other things, this top AMG model set a lap record for production cars on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife with a time of 6 minutes and 29 seconds.
The interesting thing about this car, which is on display at the auction, is of course the paint in the shade "Reingrün" - a special color that costs 27.500 euros and with which the car pleasantly distinguishes itself from most silver, gray or black One models. The package is completed by magnesium wheels in matte black and brake calipers in glossy black - both are optional equipment. The interior of the vehicle is upholstered in nappa leather in magma gray with contrasting stitching in digital green.
The car only received its regular “Service A” service in February 2026 (cost: €37.610). This extended the warranty until February 2028. The Mercedes-AMG One will be auctioned at Sealed May between May 13th and 21st.
