It will be called Interceptor GTX

British brand Jensen returns to the scene with a model, now officially known as the Interceptor GTX, which brings a fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology to the luxury GT vehicle segment.

British automaker Jensen International Group has officially announced the revival of the legendary brand with an all-new model called the Interceptor GTX. Although the newcomer draws direct inspiration from the original Interceptor model that once solidified the company's reputation, Jensen is adamant that this is not just a classic sequel, but a fresh and completely unique car. The pre-production model, which is expected to be presented to the public in the second quarter of this year, will boast an advanced aluminum chassis, which will be wrapped in a carefully handcrafted aluminum body.

At the heart of this British special will be a specially adapted 5,0-liter supercharged V8, which is expected to produce an impressive 441 kW (600 hp). The raw power will allow the vehicle to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3,5 seconds and reach a top speed of 322 km/h. With such technical specifications, Jensen wants to uncompromisingly compete with established rivals such as Aston Martin, focusing primarily on a raw and analogue driving experience.

David Duerden, CEO of the company, explains that the new Interceptor GTX arrives exactly sixty years after the original model was introduced and confidently asserts its own modern character. The company’s goal is to offer a high-performance vehicle that will quicken the pulse of collectors and take the brand into new, uncharted territories in the increasingly saturated boutique GT car market. Exclusivity and top-notch craftsmanship are expected to take their toll, as early estimates indicate that the asking price for this collector’s model will be around 290.000 euros.
