Mansory gives Porsche 911 Turbo S a carbon fiber body kit

Mansory has improved the Porsche 911 Turbo S with its “Softkit”: a carbon fiber package, mighty 22-inch forged aluminum wheels and an updated suspension.

The prestigious tuner Mansory used the exclusive venue of “Top Marques Monaco” to present its latest program for the Porsche 911 Turbo S (type 992.2). The magic word is “Softkit” – a modular carbon package that successfully combines elegant individualization with the aggressive look of a sports car. It is a long-awaited update for customers who find the production version too subdued and a complete conversion too radical.

The most interesting thing about this is that, in contrast to the usually very extensive complete conversions offered by the company, customers can select individual components for the conversion in this program. As Mansory states in its press release, this is how it responds to “the constantly growing desire of its customers for elegant, individually adjustable in scope, easy to install, yet effective conversions for the Porsche Turbo S.”

The basis of the kit for the 911 is formed by various body parts made of full carbon. The revised front end includes a new front spoiler with side extensions and wings. The side line is sharpened with new mirror caps and side sills, while the rear uses modified air intake covers, an enlarged, two-part rear spoiler and a new diffuser. The car, presented at the Monaco show, is already equipped with the full range of available components, which are available for both the coupe and the convertible.

In addition to the appearance, the tuner also makes an effort to improve the driving dynamics: the power transmission of the standard all-wheel drive and the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission is supported by new Mansory chassis components. In order to safely transfer the “outstanding performance” of the Turbo S to the road, as the prestigious tuner puts it, a newly developed wheel design called “FS.5” is also used.

The forged wheels, which are extremely light according to the manufacturer, measure 9,5 x 21 inches on the front axle and 12 x 22 inches on the rear axle. They are equipped with high-performance sports tires in the dimensions 255/30 ZR21 (front) and 335/25 ZR22 (rear). This configuration is supposed to ensure maximum lateral dynamics and the best possible stability at high speeds. As a visual detail, the wheels have a carbon rim, which can be painted in the desired color.

In addition to the exterior changes, the program also includes extensive interior modifications on request. Each “softkit” can be supplemented with individually adjustable interior modifications that, according to Mansory, “meet the highest quality standards and ensure the greatest possible individuality in the choice of materials.”

The fact that Mansory is expanding its range of 911 Turbo S models is strategically well thought out. The company justifies this step by the consistently high demand for this Porsche model, which has been synonymous with the everyday super sports car in the automotive industry for over 50 years and which, according to Mansory, is “still very popular” among its customers.
