Here we have to quote Kalle Grabowski from the movie "Bang Boom Bang": "That's really cool." Today, however, we're not talking about the gold Mercedes SEC, but about a Porsche that will sweep you off your seat. Namely, the 911 GT3 RS, the likes of which have never been seen before.
The unique 911 GT3 RS comes from Porsche's special order program. The car was created in collaboration between the Porsche Center in Geneva and the special order department in Zuffenhausen. It is an example of the almost unlimited individualization options that the sports car manufacturer offers. (And from which it makes a good profit...)
What exactly does this mean? The new vehicle range includes the installation of customised accessories according to the customer's wishes already during the production process. One of the special features that customers can choose when ordering a vehicle is "Choice of Colour Plus": based on the customer's individual wishes, Porsche creates and develops a unique exterior colour shade.
Retrofitting is also possible. Customers can completely transform the interior and exterior of their vehicle or, as part of the Werksunikat offer, create technically highly individualized unique pieces for special requests with the help of Porsche's own development and design team. This offer for older vehicles always includes restoration, which can also be ordered separately. In short, the old Toyota slogan applies: Nothing is impossible.
The design concept was based on the desire to create a 911 GT3 RS that would embody all the details of haute couture – both in design and performance. The idea was to create a subtle contrast between the uncompromising technology of the GT3 RS and the warm, calm aesthetics.
Particular attention is paid to the balance between the expressive lines of the 911, the carbon elements and the selected metallic shades. Instead of opulent accents, the focus is on subtleties, light reflections and textures. The body color choice fell on deep macadamia-metallic (named after the type of nut) from the “color of your choice” range – enriched with carbon, whose clear coat is enhanced with brown pigments and specially designed for this project.
The exterior of the vehicle is complemented by characteristic details: the rear spoiler in matt carbon is highlighted by the “Weissach” lettering on the side panels and the orange “Porsche” lettering. The accent rings in the LED headlights are a detail in pastel orange. The interior continues this design philosophy with a harmonious combination of brown and orange shades.
The basis is leather and Race-Tex in truffle brown, complemented by contrasting orange decorative stitching. Numerous carefully selected details combine to create a harmonious overall impression. Porsche remains secretive about the price. The “regular” 911 GT3 RS costs around 248.000 euros. Without additional equipment.
