The extreme modification of the 911 GT3 RS model brings less weight, more power and a base price that reaches almost a million euros.
British boutique company Talos has revealed the 911 RT, an extreme modification of the already impressive Porsche 911 GT3 RS, drawing inspiration directly from the 911 GT3 R. Only 20 exclusive examples will be built, and they differ from the original mainly in that they feature a completely new, significantly expanded carbon fiber body, designed in collaboration with the experts at MCT Carbon. Extensive aerodynamic improvements include a new front spoiler, redesigned air intakes, a boot lid with NACA vents, more massive rear fender flares, and an all-new rear diffuser with a powerful wing.
Thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber, the vehicle's weight has been reduced to just 1.350 kilograms, which means that the 911 RT is exactly 80 kilograms lighter than the standard GT3 RS model. At the rear, there is an improved 4,0-liter naturally aspirated boxer six-cylinder engine that develops 397 kW (540 hp) of maximum power and offers 460 Nm of torque, and the company is also preparing an even more powerful turbocharger upgrade for an additional fee. TTX racing shock absorbers developed in collaboration with Öhlins ensure uncompromising driving dynamics, while the interior will be tailored to the specific wishes and tastes of each individual customer.
The exclusivity and top-notch technical solutions are also expectedly reflected in the price, which is befitting a strictly limited series of twenty vehicles. The starting price for the Talos 911 RT is a calculated 981.100 euros, with this high amount only including the conversion and new components. In addition, buyers will have to hand over their existing Porsche 911 GT3 RS to the company, which will serve as a donor vehicle, and only then can the thorough process of transformation into one of the most radical road models of the moment begin.
